Here we
are, on the new year's eve we can announce that Vulcanophono Music
Collective is Born! It has been created by three projects based in the
Modena city area, and of course Angus Mc Og is one of them. The others
acts are Ed, indie folk pop songwriter, who has been produced by
Beatrice Antolini and already took a couple of tour in the States, in
the New York city area, and Setti, keen and ironical songwriter, a
promise you can bet on. The collective's purposes are to promote its
member, take care of their booking and search for opportunities of
sharing and exchange with others realities.
We can also announce the first gigs of Angus Mc Og French tour that is
going to take place between February and March. Already confirmed shows
in Dijon, Lyon, Dole and Beaune. Well... not bad as a start of the
year. And furthermore we're working on new songs for our next release.
By the way, check this video from 1/6 gig at Carpi's
Mattatoio Club featuring "Town on a River", some new tune for you!
October / November
These two months go together
in this foggy and sleepy season, but eventually autumn may turn in a
very ongoing time. Something is moving in the underground music in the
city of Modena and I hope I'm soon going to tell you about an amazing
newborn musical initiative, stay tuned! In the meanwhile new concerts
are on the run by december. Some are already confirmed in the gigs page,
others are about to come.
For sure we'll be in France at the beginnig of march for a short Tour.
Here it is also the new Angus Mc
Og page on Last fm, take a look!
September
September
means back home. We learned so much within a few days and we feel
thakful to all the people we met along our way in the States. We played
concerts, we attended concerts, we faced a tour de force
through museums and art galleries, we went for a walk in Central Park,
we passed through a (fake) Hurricane, we got in a car accident, we took
a ride in a police car, we fell in love with Williamsburg, then we fell
in love with Providence, then we fell in love with Cambridge, then we
just fell in love...
Now it's time for us to think about wath is going on in the next
months. Angus Mc Og started on springtime as a solo artist, then
Daniele came with his cello and his banjo and now Lucio has made his
way back from Sydney (provisionally?)with his drums and percussions. We
had the chance to play a couple of gigs as a trio before two of us left
for the States on August and... wow, it works... it works!
August
NYC. Enough said. Finally
landed on Thursday night, Irene is about to give the wettest welcome
this city has ever given. An
upset lady that
is causing trouble, like an elderly woman in the line at the groceries.
Making space around her with her character, is about to flood souls and
backyards, Manhattan and Waterloo. Not lying. True,
things are gonna change radically. Tomorrow morning would be much
better or more painful? Let's see. From
this 6th
floor, the spectacular view is assured. As assured
is Angus' first show cancelation. Due to an
hurricane. There's
a first time for everything.
In
the meanwhile
Anorak's tunes are gonna fill spaces and lofts here in Williamsburg,
NY, waiting for the sun to come out again.
Stay
tuned and stay safe.

little New York tour taking place on august / september is going to be
announced, the very first gigs are already confirmed and new ones are
about to come! A very special thanks to Ed, who took care of the
booking for these shows (http://www.myspace.com/cozmicsleepin). Furthermore
Anorak is now distributed by audioglobeand
can be purchased on their website.
Lastly, new gigs announced in Italy on this summer!
March 2011
Anorak,
the first record by Angus Mc Og, will be released on April.
Anorak, like a garment to wear to walk out the door, to get
ready to go forth, on empty county roads or 35000 feet over
the
ocean, to quit an house at sunset and wake up in the morning in a new
one.
